COMMITTIEES


MEMBERSHIP

Our chapter continues to grow every year. The Membership committee is a big part of this and is your direct link to the Chapter.

They are responsible for servicing our existing members as well as generating new members. This committee also plans and conducts outreaches to our members.


PROGRAM
Chair: Cindy Carey

The program committee is responsible for planning and running all chapter meetings, seminars and events. They work closely with other committees and the Chapter leadership team to ensure that we deliver value and substance to our members and the business community


PUBLIC RELATIONS

Public Relations committee is responsible for promoting the San Francisco Chapter of the National Black MBA Association in this community.

This committee publishes a quarterly newsletter. They are responsible for press releases, public service announcements, and overall broad communication of chapter information.


LEADERS OF TOMORROW (LOT)

Leaders of Tomorrow (LOT) is a High School mentoring program. The mission of the LOT program is to expand the cadre of African-American students who enter college. The San Francisco Chapter will be implementing this program in 2006. Through monthly workshops the program seeks to provide the students with the tools necessary to be successful in their collegiate endeavors, and teaches basic business etiquette to prepare them for the workforce.

SCHOLARSHIP/EDUCATION

The Scholarship Committee helps to raise funds for local scholarships, sets the criteria for awarding them, and distributes
monies to our winners.


CORPORATE PARTNER RELATIONS

The Corporate Partner Relations committee develops and maintains relationships with local corporations, educational institutions.

The San Francisco chapter has traditionally enjoyed strong corporate sponsorship.

SPECIAL EVENTS
This committee works for short period of times to help put on larger events for the chapter. This is a great committee to join if you cannot commit to serving in a leadership role for long periods of time. This committee is formed as each of these events are being planned.
